About RAISE
RAISE is a 6- to 12-month work and social skills training program offered through the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando that provides paid employment for adults with special needs at our partnering Jewish agencies. In addition, RAISE assists its employees in the transition to finding employment in the community.
Mission Statement
By providing a part-time work experience, RAISE offers each participant the self-worth that comes from earning a paycheck, the satisfaction of being a participating member of society, an accepting work environment, the self-respect that comes with productivity, the dignity of having a job, a feeling of contribution and independence, and the social benefit of interfacing with our community in a safe and compassionate setting. RAISE also connects participants with Vocational Rehabilitation and the opportunity to participate in job placement in the competitive work community.
